about
Shipyards is one of the many many Japanese bands we adore alongside bands like Minority Blues, Turncoat, Falls, Summerman, What-A-Night, etc. We all know Japan scene has produced so many great bands to be adored or maybe one of them has filled up your memories about highschool life. And why we picked Shipyards is because this Japanese band that get me and Tirta on the first reason why we start the band. We dont want to get twinkle but we still want to be emoish and yes Shipyards is one of the Japanese that motivated us for the reason I mention on this sentence. No offense, we dont want to discredit any twinkle band, we do listen any twinkle tunes well it's just we dont want to be a twinkle :)
Hence, coincidence is a gift. So when Urban Sleep Discs and Imakinn Records are teaming up to put out the first EP of this band, named 'Tired', so this is a great leap of momentum for us doing this cover. This song will also be available on Japan CD release only and this friendly platform streaming music.
lyrics
FALLING FROM PALM
At first, I dont expect from anything
Even I'm going through changes
When I stood in midnight
I saw clearly, the future falling from palm
Nobody tell me
Everything has gone to somewhere
I had such nightmare
Sleep again I dont want to know
The future are falling from palm
Dont let me awake
Dawn alarm me and change sight
Tiny moon has gone far side of the sea
At last, I hoped everything goes well
Even if something is changed
You tell me stories. Its like an illusion
The future are falling from palm
If you let me awake
There is no signing of you
I'm still believing in that after all
But I'm still thinking of that light
